Star Wars Epic Yarns is a board book series featuring 12-word, needle-felted versions of each of the three original Star Wars movies. Unfortunately, these books are now out of print. However, you can still find them used online and in book stores, so go get yourself a copy! Or borrow a copy from the library!

Here’s the series description:
Jedi apprentices and little princesses will delight in this (heart)felt retelling of the Star Wars saga. And so will Star Wars fans of any age! The series launches with the original trilogy, and every word counts in these small but perfectly formed yarns. That’s because each volume features 12 iconic scenes, handcrafted in felt and pithily summarized in just a single word. The attention to detail is eye-opening; the proportions are just-right for small hands; the fun is guaranteed.

If you want to see the incredibly labor-intensive process that went into making Star Wars Epic Yarns, then check out this behind-the-scenes “making of” video. You’ll be amazed!
Holman was at Star Wars Celebration in April 2015 and had time to stop by the Creature Cantina to talk Star Wars Epic Yarns:
Feeling crafty? Then make your own Star Wars felt figure (a Jawa) with this video produced by Norm Chan at Tested.com, who filmed Holman’s needle felting workshop at The Makery in Anaheim in April 2015. The craft is a simplified needle felting project, so instead of 20-50 hours, you should be able to finish the Jawa in two or three hours (phew!).
